You'll need a big surf board.

Have any I’d you been before? If so then all hire the suits and boards for around £15 for four hours and those who’ve done it can give pointers. Being hungover you’re not gonna do very well and get board of being smashed about by the sea TBH.

Or there’s numerous companies around here that do group tuition. There’s the big blue bus at Saunton but not sure how many boards he has.You could split the group in half and 12 go surfing while the other 11 do another water sports such as SUP, kayaking or coasteering? Swap around the next day.

Its a bit weather/swell dependant. Flat or choppy surf will make it tough, esp if you've not done it before.

A few years ago, a small gaggle of us headed to Polzeath for the weekend. Many beers on the Friday night, followed by a morning dip in the North Atlantic was fun, but the surf was rubbish after an hour of trying to ride ripples, and none of us fancied driving around to find a better spot. So we went back to the pub. This could be what happens, so make sure you have a contingency...

Croyde Bay, good surf school (maybe more than one, just Google) & great selection of pubs and restaurants for after. Plenty of accommodation options.

I couldn't think of a worse thing to do on a Stag.

My fella has just come back from a weekend in Newquay on a stag do, he said it was utter crap. Everybody was either too drunk/hungover to bother about the surfing and the weather was equally abysmal!

Get yourself down to Woolacombe. Good pubs and has a nightclub (don't be fooled its a small village). Had my Stag doo there, highly recommend Nick Thorn ---> http://nickthorn.com/

As said board and wetsuit hire no more than £15 - £20 for half day.

Best kind of weekend, surely?

No point going in to the office for just Friday so do a token amount of email catch up from home and spend the rest of the day on PH, PH or in the pub..
