Hi,
I have a cash ISA at the bank (set up 5 years ago) and a share trading ISA (online) set up in 2017.

I don't really use the share trader one much, don't think I traded last year at all, but some dividends were paid in. The cash ISA went to "fallow" last year as I did not pay in.
Just want to pay some money into my exisiting cash ISA and was told if I did, I could not pay ANYTHING into any other ISA (cash or otherwise) this year.
Internet seemed to reinforce this (telegraph money) but then a Yorkshire bank site says you can split your 20k per year allowance between different types of ISA, ie some to cash, some to shares some to Innovative etc but the combined 20k is the limit.

Who's right? Can I pay some into my exisiting cash ISA and some into my share ISA so long as I don't bust 20k> ?

IIRC:
There is a limit on the number of new ISAs in a year - one only.
There is a limit on the total paid into ISAs in a year £20k.
There is no limit on how many ISAs that £20k may be distributed.
