I'm 6'6" and weighing in the circa 17.5st, with a longer body.

Clothing is so much better than it used to be, but I still struggle to get casual clothes which fit well! For smart shirts, dress shirts from the like of Charles Tyrwhitt work really well, but casual shirts from most places are generally too short. Casual t-shirts are generally good length but frequently too wide.

Any recommendations for decent quality casual clothing for someone who is tall in the body, but not super slim?!

Online bespoke places like Son of a Tailor, Bombay shirt company, Tailored Jeans.com etc. It’s a bit trial and error at first as to who is good but worth it in the end.

6ft 3, 20/21st, long arms and body. I feel your pain.

However in this particular place I'm often too big for high street places and too small for the "big 'n' tall" shops.

You could try Slaters, there's a few of them about the place. And there's also Jacamo but I've never tried them.

We are the same height so can feel your pain, some tips below:

ASOS - long/tall range for t shirts and jeans, good price and the tall long length t shirts fit like a glove. The "Tall2 range overall is great for us!
Moss Bros - Skinny/slim non iron longer length shirts - fit really well as long as you get your collar size right

I know - like all clothing threads - this will end up being a pissing contest for who can name the most expensive tailor, but for mooching round stuff Next are very good for trousers for us tallies.

Online they sell XL length trousers which are a 35" inside leg. I'm 6'5" and 16.5 stone, they work for me.

Paul & Shark shirts and tees are usually longer than others. Very well made, too.

And you’ll fit right in as an extra when they film the next Football Factory.

Great thread!

I'm 6'6" [long legs and arms] but a bit of a lightweight at just under 14 stone.

Luckily I don't have to wear shirts to work [I'm a Graphic Designer] and try to avoid wearing them casually if I can get away with a t-shirt! The casual shirts I do have are mainly short-sleeve so I don't have to worry about arm length. Next do a longer arm for dress shirts though.

For jeans I've got a few pairs from Superdry. The problem I have with trousers is my slim waist but long legs! I don't mind my jeans being a bit short though as I like showing off my kicks smile

Just buy your casual shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt then.

Same issue, 6ft 7", but quite fat these days, often find stuff too short, pants/trousers etc with no backside but a massive waist.

I have to spend a fortune on Ralph Lauren stuff, the 3XB sizes are good for me.

High and Mighty used to be good, but only when you could walk into a shop and try things on.

Jacamo stuff can be ok, but all their brands vary massively.

John Banks is ok too, but again brands vary a lot.

BadRhino not bad.

Xplosive Ape for gym wear.

I'm about 6'8'' and feel your pain. My height is in my legs mainly, with 37 inch inside leg being about right, but I have large thighs which make the fit a struggle. This thread may be useful though.

I have a couple of t-shirts that I ordered from America which were basically just screen printed, but they are on a heavy duty, long body t-shirt. I'll have a dig and see what I can find later this afternoon.

Charles Tyrwitt for smart shirts, now replacing the limited selection from Marks and Sparks. Their unfinished chinos and a local seamstress are very helpful too, as they come unfinished at 38 inch inside leg.

I might give up on jeans and just become a chino wearer now, as I can't seem to find jeans that suit.

6'6" here.

I find TM Lewin excellent and get a lot of casual and formal shirts from them. They continuously have sales so rarely pay full price.

M&S are often good too but I must admit I don't tend to visit them so often so may be out of date on their sizing now.

Jeans have been a big problem in the past - I can find long sizes, or wide fit, but not both - but now I tend to stock up when I go to the US instead.

Just don't get me started on the problem with shoes, or cars!

I fund their sizing very hit-and-miss. Ordered the same product twice and second pair were nothing like the size of the first pair!

6'5" or maybe 6'6" here.

Find M & S excellent for basic T-shirts and polos, can confidently pick up anything XL knowing it'll be a good fit without having to try them on.

Their cheap jeans are alright size-wise too, although still need to try them on to be sure.

Anything mid-range-expensive for jeans I tend to see what I can find at Debenhams, John Lewis etc. Gave up on online denim buying few years ago. Too much choice on the face of it with not enough to be gleamed style/fit/overall look.

Next are do-able for chinos. Their regular lengths sit okay when stood, but a bit ridey when sat down, whilst their extra length offerings leave me with a baggy arse. (Fnar fnar)

I'm 6'4" and big with it, and can buy stuff from both Slaters and Jacamo that doesn't make me look like Rik Waller. Slaters is pretty good actually; bought a suit that I'll probably only wear two or three times from their Bristol store and had change out of seventy quid.
