I’m looking for some inspiration for how to celebrate a significant wedding anniversary coming up in a few weeks time.

Gift & Experience ideas gratefully welcome.

We tend to buy whatever we want, which causes an issue when I’m trying to buy gifts as they aren’t received as special unless they are stupidly expensive. I think I will have to buy something expensive but I’d welcome inspiration for both thoughtful and expensive gifts and experiences.

Thanks in advance.

I don't really do gifts any more, as a physical item to be given to someone, I like to buy trips/holidays instead.

New York long weekend? I would suggest Rome as it's in my Top 5, but in late July? fking hell biggrin

Yeah, some do. Not everyone's balls have completely shrivelled up in the #metoo tsunami.

I just bought the wife a nightsky map of the stars over the venue the day we got married. Before that i bought her a necklace with coloured gems that represent the date we got married etc etc

We've been together 25 years and SWMBO said we should do something to celebrate. I suggested a weekend kayaking around Portland Bill, but apparently she was thinking more like Capri!

Did think of a day trip to Skegness, no expense spared even fish & chips on the beach !

Now just hold on a minute and get a grip of yourself! If you go spoiling her like that you’ll set yourself up for a big lavish do every 25 years. Bloody Rockafella

It’s hotter in NYC than Rome right now. NYC is surprisingly hot during Summer and doesn’t cool at night.

Free entry as well.
