So my parents have been given a tool by a friend trying to work out what it is. It was found in a sewing box.

My first impression was a leather workers tool or shoemaker but can’t find anything similar?

It’s made in England and has a product bumper and manufacturer but there unreadable.

Thank you. I said to my mother I’ll put it on PH and will have an answer in 5 minutes. I certainly wasn’t expecting 1st post and 3 minutes!

Definitely a rantallion trimmer.

Can be useful for less veinous cuttings such as carpet thread, bit you'll notice the lob on the drainage channel is pretty much designed for a male spermal tract.

Saw one go for auction at Knutsford a while ago for £9.

I'd disinfect the example your mother has (has she plans for you?) before letting loose on 'rag-rugs' (unless that is what your rantallion obscuring thatch / her trouser thatch is nicknamed).

But remember the Victorians were quite anal in their morals.

Especially about "anal" Are you suggesting this went up the mans Jap's Eye to do an internal recce from the front? It is about an inch short for that for the normalised Victorian flaccid penis size.

I've just realised though, due to the density of a Victorian ladies pubic hair being around 897 kg/m3 with a mean depth of 4cm (unsprung from chastity belt), this could well have been an early version of the "clit nibbler" than manifests now in modern society as the "Hitachi Wand" back massage / clitoral simulator?

See council thread for simultaneous discussion on Hitachi Wands, which can also be used by males. Especially Rantallions.

Nah, much later. It's for getting boy
scouts out of horses' hooves

PS, didn't mean to be so withering.
