Don't like it so much when somebody, somehow finds the thread and just adds an extra comment to it like "yeah that happened to me, really annoying, yeah, or worse still miss the point of the OP and put some random, irrelevant observation in. Can be sort of useful when you get an update from an OP after months/years though.

However, I am waiting, with nails bitten down to the quick for the day I see "Secret Room 2: Nazi Bunker" appear at the top of my What's New feed. That's a thread I want to see come back to life more than anything.

If someone has something useful to add, then crack on. Even if not, it is hardly much of annoyance.

I think the sort of people who get all red in the face about it are probably taking a car forum a bit too seriously

But the answer can be used by more than just the original poster. I often search Google for advice on car/bike problems only to find my exact question asked and no answer given. I'd be happy for someone to appear 10 years after the question and answer it if it helped me!
