How old is your Amazon account and what was your first buy?

[MECHENG84]

I just started using Amazon music and it's remembered all the music I've ever ordered. All the way back to 1999 when I opened my account 20 years ago! My first buy was Blink-182s Enema of the State album on CD.

So how old's your account and what was your first buy?

We have an 18 year old in the office who I can actually turn around to and say "I have an Amazon account older than you".

[Shakermaker]

The current one I'm using only dates back to 2009, I had an account before that but forgot all the log in details as I didn't use it much. Seems I didn't use it much at all for music even then, in 2014 I bought a Taylor Swift CD for my wife, that's the earliest music purchase it shows. Which seems odd, because I've definitely ordered music before then with Amazon but who knows where that order history is.

Cool thread.

Another early adopter here in 2000 bought a book "Castrol history of Motorcycle racing" would have been for my Granddad.

At the time I worked in an internet startup. Exciting times but never did we think Amazon would be anything other than a book and media store.
