In the modern age of everyone holding a camera & having social media at their fingertips there is nowhere to hide for life’s hypocrites these days.

Take politicians the Brexit/expenses scandal has exposed plenty.

Vegans, they never admit that combine harvesters and machinery kill loads of animals in the field/orchard collecting their food but tell us how bad the rest of us are.

Vegetarians, I once got told off for having a burger in McMurderers he called it. He went quiet then I said 1 cow can feed lots of people but you have just murdered those 30 prawns in your one man salad.

20MPH zones, my local village has boards up campaigning for 20MPH zones, only when I drive through in the morning people are pulling out of their drive ways past their own 20MPH sign but are driving at 30MPH.

Prince Harry telling us to save the planet but spends most of his life flying round the world. Also these rich movie stars who fly all the time, have massive houses that use loads of power to run, they also own big engine cars. But it’s our fault for polluting the planet.

Rich and famous people who moan about babies dying in Africa but are happy to sit around with a £95 million pound bank balance and expect us poor people to pay.

I may even be guilty myself but some of the whoppers going round these days are a step too far.
I could go on and on, over to you. Celebrity, Friends and family stories welcome.

Tree hugging hippies spending their entire lives campaigning against useless/pointless things like plastic straws and plastic waste but holding a sign made of single use plastic.

Exposure of hypocrisy is one thing. This is good. What's not is that it seldom gets to be fully scrutinised, examined and questioned. This is particularly rife in the reporting of politics where statements made by politicians in the past are completely contrary to those made by them today.

One example that springs to mind is Nigel Farage saying before the referendum that if the result was a narrow remain outcome, then he and others would robustly push for a second referendum. He has since robustly defended the outcome of the referendum suggesting those on the remain side seeking a second vote to be ignorant of democracy, despite him previously suggesting he'd do the exactly same.

We need to do much more with the hypocrisy that is spotted.

Another from me, my boss telling us there is no money for training but goes on a 2 day conference local to work/home every year with about 15 others (his favourites). He opts for the full package of the evening gala dinner and overnight hotel. They could just drive home it’s the same distance but he wants a pi55 up for them. In a private business maybe fair enough but this is paid for out of your taxes.

Tony Blair and how he banged on about how the MMR jab was safe and caused no issues to kids but then wouldn't give his kids it.

Is the OP doing a pet-hate of mine by suggesting that particular groups of people are "hypocrites" when each one is an individual and has an individual opinion? Prince Harry can be a hypocrite if his views aren't consistent but the other groups of people mentioned are just anonymous groups of people and each person is entitled to say what they want.

Narrow is defined by relevance. 1.3 million gap in a total vote of 34m is certainly narrow.

A comet appearing every 5 years would be very frequent. Getting a headache every 5 years would not be.

Honestly, this isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

....and the margin that Farage actually quoted as triggering the leave contingent to push for a second vote that by which they won by. If this isn't hypocrisy then please explain what is.

I'm just pointing out the reality of life and how todays life exposes so much. Maybe your not on social media but this is where people get a voice and do expose it. If a politician or celeb is on the TV telling porkies or making out that somthing is not what it seems you can bet someone will now find the original interview/back story within an hour as we hold so much information in our hands.

Look back before social media and you pretty much had to believe what you were told
