According to various police and fire services etc and local authorities, we should all have a grab-and-go bag prepared.

Police Scotland......

"September is preparedness month. Emergencies can happen at any time and it’s recommended to have a #GrabBag ready containing essential items including medication, copies of important documents, food/water, torch, radio and other personal items #30Days30WaysUK #BePrepared"

Thames Valley Police.....

"What are the most important items to have in an emergency?

Put them together in a #GrabBag so you’re prepared if you ever need to leave your home or workplace immediately

  1. Preparedness #30Days30WaysUK"

They missed out passports in different names and a handgun.

Oh and the grab cash.

I used to have one while sailing, my house is less likely to sink.

The nappies would be useful though.

Yes kind of.
Only for medication and work though.
I do take it out all the time epi pens and inhalers.
Work wise I cycle to work so the bike has waterproofs in the seat bag.
I don’t travel very far on a normal week in my car either.
As I also cycle between sites I carry water/drinks and toiletries so I don’t smell !!

I had one next to me in the big green helicopter that was my office in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Not sure SE England is quite as volatile. Yet.

Or do Plod know something we don’t?
Civil unrest following Brexit? Some climatic disaster? Terrorism?
Seems a bit of a coincidence that ALL the forces have been watching too much Walking Dead.

I'm guessing fire / flood / plague of locusts?
I guess a grab bag makes sense if you live somewhere that could get evacuated without much notice, places on the waterfront and that kind of thing, but in the middle of a housing estate on the outskirts of Norwich I'm not so sure it's needed.
