How many PHers are there?

[Skyedriver]

Was showing my wife the JAYB thread earlier and she asked how many PHers were there?
I can't see an answer anywhere, so how many "signed up" members are there, as opposed to visitors who have never joined?
Cheers

When you try to edit your profile there’s a membership number of sorts (mine is 232xxx).

Find a newbie and ask them and you’ll have a rough number. I imagine a great number are generally inactive though.

If it's like being a Mason there are people on here who aren't 'PHers'.

Looking at the last member to register this evening 587528.

Hope that helps.

Not that I imagine it'll be something that's wanted to be shared about, but it'd be quite interesting to have a PH article about the membership on here, things like rough number of 'active' posters, average online at a time, rough distribution of members around the world etc.

Hey!
Some of us aren't rough at all.

Well, some of us scrub up okay with a bit of effort.
