I always thought that beside the obvious, the visual difference between cows and bulls were the latter had horns.

I don’t recall cows being aggressive. Playful young bulls will “have a go at you” in a field.

They tend to be pretty huge. You can see them clearly whether or not the owner is standing still

We used to de-horn cows at about 2 weeks old.

Some are naturally not as horny as others, but it is not gender specific hehe

This one, for example, has udders and a some big ole horns;

smile Almost on a par with Thomas Schafenacker (weather man) who was 35 before he discovered that lambs were not a separate species, but were actually baby sheep.

Incidently, cows can be aggressive when they have calves - particularly if you have a dog, and will attack if they feel threatened.
