I’ve just tried explaining the etiquette of a gentleman removing his hat, when entering a building, to a Scottish person, who’d had a few sherbets. That’s a comedy script right there
. But it did get me thinking, he kind of had a point, why is it the ‘done thing’?
Ehhh - Ok...
. But it did get me thinking, he kind of had a point, why is it the ‘done thing’?

Us scotsman walk into high class restaurants, hat on head, trackies on and a cheap Chinese vape hanging out our mouth. Times are changing. Catch up. At 50p a unit, the days of the drunk scotsman have moved to the boarder. The rest of us are high class £14 quid a bottle drinkers thank you very much. Plus its colder here, I'll be keeping my hat on.

Was the reference to the person's nationality pertinent, or just casual racism ?
