Any more than 6ft 3" or 4" and you become a bit of a freak. Shoe sizes, clothes, cars etc.
Plus you get a whole load of "hows the weather up there bulls
t"
It's just a curiosty thing. I think it stems from seeing Robert Wadlow on the first page of The Guiness Book of Records when i was a kid :-)Any more than 6ft 3" or 4" and you become a bit of a freak. Shoe sizes, clothes, cars etc.

t" Our 7 foot security guard claimed he knew what people were about to say before they opened their mouths, he'd heard it all so many many times. Poor bloke.
I think people are getting gradually taller.
I always thought I was reasonably tall at 6ft 1" but the two latest members of my team are both well over 6ft 5" and we've had a couple of female staff who are also over 6ft. My son is taller than me and the majority of my nephews are all over 6ft.
Having said all that I think there's some perception bias in that we tend to notice tall people more than short people.

Well in fairness the shorter people are harder to see I always thought I was reasonably tall at 6ft 1" but the two latest members of my team are both well over 6ft 5" and we've had a couple of female staff who are also over 6ft.
