A mildly feminist acquaintance is convinced all her male colleagues conspire together in the office toilets where there are no women to overhear. Absolutely not in my experience, we largely ignore each other while maintaining the pretence that cubicles are soundproof. Have I just had a sheltered life?

I think normal blokes try to ignore each other.

The sales staff will automatically try to make well-practiced "friendly" conversation at the urinals. It's about as helpful as holding your hand.

A nod of the head and that's about it. Maybe a 'alright' or a 'morning' but that's about it.

What does she believe you are all conspiring about?

There’s the odd weirdo who tries to start a conversation, but 99% of the time it’s just a one word acknowledgment.

A female colleague always came to Friday post work drinks, not because she wanted to, but because she was worried about being slagged off.

Yeah, that's about it.
Pretty much this, at a push a jokey comment like "we should stop meeting like this!" if our paths have crossed a couple of times that day.

Office politics, as a gender based team sport.

Maybe the women she knows all do use their toilet visits as an opportunity to have a good bhing session about male colleagues, and so she ascribes such behaviour to men too?

wheres the option for describing the consistency of your ste?
Lavatory conversations where I work usually consist of "this ones a 50 slump, I would give it 35 to 45 minutes." or "ya fker, a ghostie! "

About the only time there's more than this is if there's a bog roll shortage or there's a queue for the sink or dryer.
