Mrs M and I went to Costco yesterday to replenish a few essentials (inc. wine!). Alongside the Halloween decorations, which include a full-sized animatronic cackling witch stirring a cauldron, they now have their Christmas trees and decorations, many of which are playing Christmas melodies at full blast. Has to be seen and heard to be believed.

I also noticed a sign at the entrance reminding all that is is company policy that customers should wear shirts and shoes whilst in the warehouse.

I was going to put this in the Council thread, but wondered if Christmas had appeared earlier than this anywhere else?

O/H reports carol singers in the town centre earlier; another reason never to go shopping there.

I notice one of the music channels on sky has swapped to wall to wall Christmas songs already. Seems a bit earlier this year.

"Studio" appear to have been the first company to start their Christmas advertising as one of their ads was on TV a few nights ago. Awful advert flogging the chance for parents to buy toys / clothes on credit and then have them personalised with their very own little darlings name stamped / stitched somewhere.

Sony Movies Christmas channel launched early September & i think Paramount channel had a Christmas themed weekend late September.

Our local Tesco had small chocolate Santas, reindeer, etc, on the shelves at the beginning of September.

They also sell humbugs by the bag-full all year round.

Well snow bites have that annoying icing sugar coating, so I much prefer celebrating his death.

Although pigs in blankets do even up the odds.
