How do you sell a joke?

I thought of a pretty good joke that would suit a comedian specifically going on Britain’s got talent as it’s based on the judges.

It’s pretty good and would be used at the intro stage of the act.

Do jokes get sold or is it something I think I heard once.

FWIW, when someone posts a joke on a forum, its very rare it gets any more than a brief acknowledgement from me, be interesting to hear if your joke is any better!

I’ll bite, it’s not a joke as such more of an intro to get a BGT comedian off to (possibly) a good start. It’s no use in any other scenario inc telling my mates.
