The perfect Sunday.

Just put a post up on the f1 section about how I occasionally will sit and watch the f1 for 5hours,but describing how I go to Waitrose for a small shop including a nice french baguette some cheese and cold meat off the deli then sit at home and eat it with a nice cigar and a bottle or 2 of doomsbar and it was described as the perfect Sunday!! What’s yours and why?

Sounds great to be fair, not that I like F1 though.
Moderate lie in to about 8.30-9, cup of tea then a walk of the dog to a cafe on Berry Head for a coffee if the weather is nice. If the weather is crap then a god walk in Cockington and a pint in from of the fire at the Drum.
Then head home for lunch and a potter around in the garden or house with my GF.
Big roast dinner, preferably cooked by someone else, and then ultra-chill in the evening.
Activities should be on Saturday. Sunday is for chilling before work.

This Sunday was getting stuff done, and it felt great. She who must be obeyed was ironing, washing and cleaning / tidying around the house all day.
I was undercoating some mdf boozy advent calendars I have made for the missus and my brother, in between coats washed and waxed the missus’s car, knocked up a bacon and tomato sarnie for us both for a lateish lunch, another coat of paint then clear 2 of the filters and change water in the fish tanks, and at about 6:30 do dinner (home made chicken leek and mushroom pie with veg) - ate at about 7:45, clean up kitchen at 8:15 and looking forward to a bit of a chill evening.
After dinner the missus noticed that there was some water pooling in the rubber seal on the washing machine, so spent a couple of hours fixing, generally cleaning out the internal plumbing and testing that thing.
Then at about 10:30 watched the IACGMOOH recorded earlier with a glass of beer and off to bed feeling somewhat good about the day’s achievements.

Up about 8am....cup of tea
Make a breakfast, usually a bacon roll for me and the other half.
Prepare all the veg and meat, chuck it in the slow cooker and turn that on.
Freshen up.
Leave the house about 11 / 11:30 and go for a stroll through the countryside, swing past a pub.
Back to the house about 4 / 5 hours later to the smell of dinner.
Get the fire going, feet up on the sofa, watch a film.
Have dinner, add more wood to the fire, then back on the sofa to watch whatever rubbish is on TV.
Perfect.
