Any family members you hate?

Sister in Law's BF for me. We have never seen eye to eye and he now ignores me when I say hello.
Personally I don't give a crap but obviously makes spending 3 days with the in laws even worse than it would have been.
He is hugely competitive even though I am not. However he apparently sees me as a "threat". WTF?

My Sister in law hates my wife.
This apparently all started because she did not like the way the wife treated me early on in our relationship. This apparently meant it was fine to be rude the first time she actually met my wife.
Relationships have occasionally thawed, but usually freeze again. my wife will be the bigger person. The sister in-law is vindictive, and will not attend functions if we are going to be there.
My Dad is 70 in January, and his one request is to have all of his family around him. I suggested to my brother that the wives agree to be the bigger person for the day. No response. t
ts.

By the time you get to your wife's sister's boyfriend, then it isn't family, IMO.
One of my sister-in-laws has had maybe five boyfriends in the last 20 years. I met them all several times, and I couldn't name a single one of them.
He is not family at all but they have a kid so probably in it for the long term. He won't get married as it is too expensive. Same here, not in my family anyhow. Can't wait to get away from the inlaws though, they're ok really, just my patience is wearing thin being couped up with them for two days solid. I don't have a big family, and we're not even vaguely close. The idea of Family Get Togethers leaves me cold. I know that plenty of people live in the same town as their parents/siblings/cousins, and they go on holdiday together and see each other every week and so on.
I would hate that.
