How often to shave

As a clean shaven person, I used to shave every workday and every other day if not working. Recently I've missed the odd work day and nobody seems to notice. After 2 days they do. Just tried three days without shaving and looked a bit disreputable, certainly by the end of the third day.

In a professional business casual environment, what do most people do? What about on holiday?

Every 2 days I have to shave, otherwise I start to look like a hobo.

I used to shave every week day. Now I do it a couple of times a week. Half the office sport beards and stubble and no one seems to care.

Friend of mine used to work for a stuck up bank. They had a clean shaven policy. He went in one day with a 1 days growth of stubble and the boss said coming in like that again, it will be the last time you come in. I also used to work with a very strict on site dress policy. Even down to the colour of suit, shirt and ties were were allowed. Not sure what their stance on stubble was.

I am starting a new role in Jan which is more senior so probably will take a bit more care of my appearance and go back to every weekday. Dont bother at weekends.

In the holidays I leave it till it becomes really itchy and then give it a good shave,

Most mornings. On the odd occasion that I miss a day, it really starts to bother me by the end of the second day.

Every day for me although not on a Sunday as have to get up and out earlier.

I have little sympathy for the chap who flaunted the clean shaven policy and got pulled up on it although my beard hair seems to grow at a quicker/thicker rate than a lot of people and so by mid-morning I could easily shave again!! Makes me wonder how I would get on if I was employed at a company with a strict clean shaven policy.

I know I could get a closer shave by shaving against the growth but when I've done that in the past my face has resembled a pizza afterwards!!

Stubble and beards are so common nowadays you are almost at odds with fashion if you clean shave .

Normal working week once or twice a week, I have no qualms about going to work with a few days stubble though if I'm just in the office doing the day to day stuff, presentations etc are a different matter

I'm lucky on 2 counts.
1) I work mostly from home.
2)!On the occasion I do have to go to one of the offices no-one gives a phuq how you're shaved, or not.

Every day except Sundays but also on Sunday if it’s a special day of some sort like a PH meet or some un-dominated stairs become available.

During the winter I shave once a week on a Sunday whether I need to or not

During the summer I'll shave as and when I'm taking the bike out as the stubble really chews up the lining on my crash helmet.

Was that a customer-facing role? A friend works for one of the largest traditional banks in back-office stuff and they haven't shaved in a decade, and go to work in a t-shirt, shorts and sandals in the summer.

I have to shave for work so everyday Monday to Friday. No chance on a weekend unless I have to work.

When I’m on holiday I tend to shave when it becomes itchy about 5-6 days in normally.

Exactly the same for me. When it gets itchy I'll just run a beard trimmer on open blade over it.

Nearly every day. I don't think I look great with one or two days of stubble, and it annoys me!

Some places I have worked have had clean shaven or full beard policies. To ensure BA equipment seals. I like that policy!

If i wanted to be clean shaven, the. I would have to shave every day as my stubble grows so fast and is very coarse so i have to use Feathers blades.

Once a week no guard with the hair clippers - starting at the neck and incorporating everywhere above that. Occasionally I'll go in to the second week, but as the top of my forehead faces the opposite way to my eyes It starts looking a bit st.
Customer facing but technical.

Nobody of any influence has ever said anything about my facial hair in any state from clean shaven (various periods) to 4" hipster beard ( 5 years ago) but mainly "Designer stubble" in a 30 year career.
