Is there 3 phase in the building?

This is a photo of a fuse box on a unit I have just moved into.

I understand it is a single phase meter and box etc but wondering if any if you know if it is actually a 3 phase supply before the meter?

If it is it would be so handy.

There are only two tails between the main fuse and the meter, so it looks like a single phase supply, although not clear what that bunch of cables at the bottom are?

There is only one black wire at the bottom going up into the 415v fuse.

The cables at the bottom go to the second unit I believe

And if that bunch of cables go to the next unit that doesn't belong to you, you are paying for their usage as well.

Out of interest why do they use a 415v fuse?

Will have to speak to the grid to ask about getting it in the building then!

Not necessarily.

Although the cutout would be bigger.

No that's a single-phase cutout. Looks like a single phase concentric cable coming into the bottom of it.
Three phase would look like this:



Don't know where those tails go off that Henley block and through the wall though. Another consumer unit, hopefully yours
