Am I a miserable sod

Near to where I live there is a large area of forest with trails that are unofficially open to the public and tolerated by the owners. The last week I've noticed someone has been decorating the odd tree with baubles. The wife says it's a nice bit of festive fun but I countered that natural woodland looks better without people hanging plastic balls off trees, and furthermore it's a hazard to wildlife and not their tree to decorate. Apparently this makes me "a miserable bd" but I just have a low tolerance for people taking their bullst into the great outdoors. What do other PHers think about stuff like this?

Better than them being decorated with bags of dogst, which is becoming a miserably common occurrence along the towpath on the L&L canal.

What is the bags of turds all about. I noticed that on my brief interlude of living in the countryside.

If you can't be bothered to take it home then don't use a bag which will stay there for a millennium. Just let the shoite lie and it'll be gone after a few weeks or trodden in by me.

The bags of ste baffles me. The least pleasant aspect of dealing with dog poo is in the collection, so why do that and them just hang it? Maybe they don't want to transport it home, or have it in their car. I hang my bags off the back wiper until I reach a bin 😂

People who leave bags of ste should be force fed it, or have them shoved through their letterboxes.

People placing baubles should be put in stocks & laughed at.

What makes me really grumpy are the bottles, cans, wrappers etc that I regularly pick up in our local privately owned woodland. Owners even put a bin by the only entrance in the lay-bye that is emptied every week and wouldn't blame them if they removed their "public welcome" sign and made it private.

I can only guess that the dog st is from people
who have no intention of picking up after their dog but carry bags in case their are people around when the dog has a crap. They then pick it up to look like a respectable owner but toss it as soon as they are out of sight.

I read somewhere that this is done by people who don't want to carry it for the rest of the walk, and intend to pick it up and take it to the bin when they pass the same spot on the way back. I can only assume there are some very forgetful people about, and some very lazy ones - I see this at one point where it must be about 20 metres to the nearest dog-poo bin. I also see it left on grass, which as you say is ridiculous, far better to just let the dog go directly on the grass, where it will be absorbed reasonably quickly.
