Another January, with gyms soon to be full of good intentions, most of which won’t make it into Feb. In the meantime all the classes are full, no one seems to know how to use the equipment properly anymore and I can never get a free treadmill. Don’t you just hate ‘em?

Maybe I’ll just take the month off until it goes back to normal...

As already said, you were that guy once, seems odd to slate the new ones that are at least making an effort and recognising they want to make a change.

Even long time gym users don’t know how to use equipment properly or keep good form, but they’re there and that’s what counts.

Not sure the thread will go as planned :mehe:

You don’t see a huge influx of new people anymore.

Quite a lot restart after a Christmas binge but the number of genuine new people isn’t any where near previous.

On the upside, new folk are more likely to leave the £1 in the locker during their 1st trips.

If you take the OP at his word, none of this has actually happened yet! It's only the 1st of Jan and it seems more to be about the fear of new joiners yet to materialise.

What particular classes are you scared you'll miss out on Schmed, as they'll all be booked out?

I applaud anyone who decides to have a go at any form of exercise/fitness for the first time.

I fking hate gym snobs, no wonder people are intimidated to go there when there's so many lycra-clad ass-hat narcissists.

I built mine at home because I can't/won't mix with 'gym people'.

You won’t have any holidays for the rest of the year though. Now go and mop the sauna out.
