Which courses to take in 2020?
Discussion
So I’ve made a bit of a resolution to learn a few new skills this year. Actually it started to day, I want to learn to ski, so today I had a lesson- I made a start and I will see it through to at least get me skiing competently. Later in the spring, I will be taking ice skating lessons. For reference I’m 36 and live in Austria, this will be important a bit later on.
But, oh hive mind if PH, I was hoping you could give me ideas of a few more skills I could learn.
It doesn’t strictly have to be online courses, my German is good enough to go somewhere, but if it’s online that’s ok too. My daughter is 6 years old, if it’s a course or a skill I could learn with her, all the better!
Willing to pay, if needed. It’s just for a bit of self improvement and to feel a bit more... worldly/useful.
Open to anything, please just throw reasonable ideas out there and I’ll research it!
Thanks
ET!

Bringing this thread back, because as everyone is in lockdown and board perhaps, it’s an opportunity instead of binge watching streaming service.
Me? I decided to practise drawing, using YouTube lessons. Quite happy with how it’s going so far. Not very time intensive (an hour or so per week) and allows me to relaxing and focus while trying to get what’s in my head down on paper. I’m not Van Gough or Picasso, but I’m happy.
On this topic, I was wondering what skills I could learn together with my 7 year old daughter? Languages are out (speaks 3 already and is only allowed to watch cartoons in french... so 4 languages actually).
Has to be something online (obviously)- ideally low cost - free and something we can do together.
The Mrs suggested some kind of beginner martial arts on YouTube- sounds fun but I’m not sure that will give her a life skill or be a 5-minute wonder...
Perhaps this thread can inspire some ideas and/or useful alternative home schooling lessons?!
Any ideas??
