Apart from the work stuff, I'm absolutely bored during the cold time here living in a town where there's nothing in a walking distance & have to drive minimum of 15mins to get anywhere.
In summer I'm off abroad and do nothing but swim/bike/fish/go to forest all day everyday for months while it lasts.
Now it's pretty much work, internet stuff and going to a shop and that's about it -neither which are particularly great frown Slightly pathetic If I look at myself.

What are the things you do that keeps you happy and you enjoy?

Don't exactly go hand in hand since you're better off than me/most smile

I think it's quaint that you call winter 'cold time'. And your post itself contains some oddly childlike syntax. Are you a Womble or Hobbit OP?

Lego, buy a decent sized set that is a theme that interests you (cars, Stranger Things, massive rocket etc) and then build it with some music on. And no phone or tv or screens.

Very relaxing, some are challenging and takes up time. Good stress relieved I find.

One can still bike/fish/go to forest in the UK , in the winter.

I have a feeling that reading, crosswords, model building, or learning to play the banjo is not really your bag.

Reading & crosswords sure isn't my thing, topic really is not about the stuff I like smile
Genuinely Interested what others fill their enjoyable time with.

My wife provides some distracting entertainment.

Oooh, lots...

Working on my Opel Astra convertible, within the modest limits of my disablilties (I have help though).

Playing my keyboards - two 61-key Korgs.

Smallbore target rifle shooting at the club.

I also have an army of these...

I have visible men, a couple of vsible women (with optional pregnancy) and a visible horse.

If I can figure how to put one of the women into a seated position, I'd like to give the visible horse a rider.

Not much, just a taxi home. Gives me a night off.

I used to get dressed up in leather and go meet middle aged men near public toilets, which if you think about it is what motorbiking really is.

Nowerdays I spend my time reading children’s books, throwing food out and talking in great length about someone else’s bowel movements, which if you think about it is what parenting a toddler really is.

I've gotten weirdly obsessed with the media collection that lives in my Plex server. I find the process of ripping, transcoding and curating more satisfying than the watching.

rofl I have a similar problem tidying up my Sooloos music collection. I ripped everything I have in plain vanilla FLAC rather than the Meridian proprietary version of FLAC. Sadly, some of the metadata got lost in transferring from one to the other, but it is weirdly engrossing sorting things out.

I did about 500 CDs which took several days of leaping up and down to the disc drive. I couldn't be arsed with Flac so stuck to MP3s. I'll be deaf before it's an irrelevant format anyway.

For some reason I did not enjoy that at all in comparison to filmed entertainment.

If the squirrels in my garden could talk (write) they would talk (write) exactly like that.

Weird style for a presumably adult male human.

To pass the time during no Sunterval I mainly shout.

Amateur football refereeing.

Keeps me fit, extra dosh, and it's a good laugh most of the time.

thumbup I tend to do the ripping while working with two disc drives on the go, so it is fairly painless. Re quality of hearing, I spend some considerable time trying the FLAC against my LPs.

Very sad, isn't it?

I think it's wonderful, unless you have someone else to keep entertained in the room.

When I remember acres of VHS and compare it to that small box it feels like pure sci fi to me still.

Digital is much more practical but I still prefer handling, cleaning etc my vinylsmile.
