Help with French Translation

I am currently undertaking a literature review for my dissertation and I need to email a researcher in France to ask whether they have completed a study I have found details for but that has not been published. I have previously emailed them in English and had no response and was hoping that if I emailed them in French this might elicit a response. Would anybody be able to translate the email for me, its only a paragraph but does involve medical terminology?

I could use google translate but I don't think this would be able to translate the paragraph in a professional way.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

My name is ............. and I am a Nurse Practitioner in Trauma and Orthopaedics in ............, England. I am currently writing a literature review for my dissertation at University. The literature review is looking at the ability of S100B in reducing the need for CT scans in minor head injury patients on Antiplatelet/ anticoagulation medication. Whilst searching I have noted that you are currently undertaking a clinical trial looking at this subject and was wondering if you had published any of the results yet as I have been unable to find any in my literature search. If you have published data would you please be able to provide me with the publication details or do you have any preliminary results available that you would be willing to share?

I wish you all the luck with this study and look forward to seeing the results. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

OK...so here is my attempt (I'm English, but live and work in France - my French is *not* brilliant, as the bulk of my work is international and in English, but i'm happy it says what you want to say).

I have removed some of your wording, mainly due to the paragraph at the end where you wish them luck and look forward to the results as it doesnt scan well in French after your request:

I like the suggestion of saying I do not speak French at the beggining and from my school day french I can sort of understand what you are writing and seems to translate well. I will leave the thread running until tomorrow and see if anyone else has any alterations etc but think you've done it perfectly for me. As they haven't responded previously I am not holding much hope but I will send the email tomorrow.

Same in Lux when learning Luxembourgish!
My daughters were born and schooled locally, so it's not an issue for them, but with me at nearly 50 years old, I can't easily shrug off the obvious British accent undertone.

Yep, when we go to the tourist areas in the Loire for a day trip - exactly this!

Don't know any French but do know a lot about biochemistry and clinical trials if you need someone to read over anything...

Also from my experience trying to contact people directly from their publications is fairly difficult - sometimes they've moved onto a new company or similar, so look them up on LinkedIn or double check on Google their contact details!

Thank you Jaska, I have looked on LinkedIn and thankfully they are still working at the hospitals and one of the trials has recently updated the details on clinicaltrials.gov so I have faith. I have sent the emails and keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you for the offer of help too, I love this forum there are always people willing to help each other, really does restore faith in humanity. My main problem area at the moment is understanding the statistics but thankfully google is helping me.
