I realise I do tend to live in the past a bit, and appreciate it is 2020 with supposed gender/sex equality and all that but:-

What's the problem with saying Saleswoman or Postman ffs!

Surely this nonsense has gone too far?

For the record, saleswomen I have bought new cars from have been excellent and very efficient.

People all too often take offense for political reasons and to make their political point of view known in a manner when the opportunity arises.
This opportunity often comes when they hear people say something they disagree with. And in the modern age of dire constant droning political correctness that has been installed by left wing activists over the years, people seem to have got it in their head that if they wish to 'win' an argument all they have to do is become 'offended'.
