Five Years.... What would it look like?

Yesterday evening, I listened to Boris telling us we've basically got to shut the country down to deal with a disease which, if you're dispassionate about these things, has the ability to kill maybe one person in twenty of an already overpopulated planet if left to run completely unchecked?
A little while later, Five Years by David Bowie popped up on my Spotify feed. For those who don't know it, the song is basically about an announcement that the planet is doomed, and there's only five years left before it's inevitable destruction, which got me thinking... What do people think we could happen in that sort of scenario?
My first reaction was that I'd sell the house, liquidise all my assets, buy a bloody great big camper van and just travel the world, but of course that only works if other people decide to carry on working to grow food and refine petrol for me, plus who in their right mind would but my house under those circumstances anyway?
There's no point bringing in any of the sort of measures we're seeing at the moment, since we can't avoid that imminent destruction, so would everything descend into a Mad Max style apocalypse with the strongest going on a rampage for the time left, or would people decide en masse that as the end is inevitable, they'd rather face it in a civilised manner together, and keep up the illusion of a civilised society?
Would anyone have new babies of they knew they'd be dead before they were five?
I know I could retire now if I only had to fund five years, and my kids wouldn't have to work, except of course I would've had to move my pension into cash before the end was announced!

If there was only 5 years left, as your post is saying in a hypothetical way (which some people seem to be missing).
I would buy that other motorbike I want and take the grief from my wife.
Assume there is fuel available in would ride the bikes as much as I can.
Spend loads of time with the grandkids and i would go round the corner and kick lumps out of the guy round the corner that has hit our car twice.
