Afternoon Gents,

I find myself in the unfortunate position that in 10 days time I will be locked in a hotel room for 7 days, 24 hrs a day unable to leave at all.
Three meals and 6 bottles of water a day will be delivered, this will be the only real contact I will have with the outside world apart from TV (ste channels) and slow internet. Soft drinks & Alcohol are not permitted.
I will manage to gather a few supplies before this happens, but only what I can gather from a supermarket with pretty limited stock.
I have with me 1x book (which i've read already) a laptop and phone, toiletries, clothes and nothing else.

So, give me your suggestions of things to do to pass the time (apart from the obvious biggrin) obviously coke and hookers is out.

My ideas so far as follows -
1. Read my already read book.
2. Sleep a lot.
3. Leave the door ajar, strip naked and hide in the wardrobe, then jump out on whoever delivers the food.
4. Youtube a lot.
5. Exercise, sit ups / press ups, however I am not into fitness at all but I'm not a fat bd.
6. Learn to juggle.
7. Learn that t-shirt folding trick that I've seen on youtube.
8 Attempt to break the "7 wk wall".

This is not theoretical, it's really happening so fire away. biggrin

Kindle app and hence lots more books.

Can you order other stuff on-line, for delivery to the hotel, before the 7 days start???

Ask if they can bring an exercise bike/treadmill/etc up from the gym to the room? (I'm making assumptions about the quality of the hotel here...)

Sign up for Amazon Prime & download a load of books or get hold of a Kindle. There's loads to read available & you don't need high speed access.

Depending where it is try and have some form of "backup internet" so tethering or a local pocket wi-fi.

There's a Kindle Cloud Reader so you can use a laptop to read the content, although it's not quite as convenient as a Kindle. Do you have any type of tablet device?

Planned travel to a country that's going to put him into isolation is one guess.

He's got a phone which I would be surprised does not have ability to get a kindle app.

If you have a Kindle (purchase one now, or use the Kindle app) you can then get books pushed wirelessly to it, or upload books manually via USB cable.

In which case, why go at all? I'd sooner lose the money than travel knowing I'd be imprisoned the whole time.

You've no idea how much money is involved.

It’s going to be for work, not for fun, isn’t it.

Download Readly and download what magazines you need. Pack inflatable Ingrid and take some chalk to count the days on the wall.
