Anyone else completely and utterly bored? I haven’t been furloughed and know I’m in a privileged position but work is quite, I don’t have any kids to entertain or tidy up after.

There is only so much internet/YouTube to browse, car dealerships haven’t got any new stock so just keep looking at the same cars. I look at holidays but don’t trust the companies enough to book.

I do my daily exercise but just generally bored!

I do moan about being bored a lot, but I often think there's worse things to be. I've caught up on all of the house stuff I never did earlier too. House, garden and cars have never been cleaner. I had three weeks on furlough, now it's back to work. I need to start learning something new soon though, to come out of this better than I entered it.

Ive got a big house and a lot of garden so there’s plenty to do and it’s excellent on a nice day - I’m very lucky. I’ve done so much so far that it’s looking splendid.

I’m still working from home, but it is getting hard to stay motivated to do the jobs, I think it’s just the sameness of every day.

I miss seeing my mates down the pub.

I have some you can borrow. If all goes well you may be able to keep them.

It’s harder this week with the weather.
Work is busy but it just feels like no important at the moment.

I’ve worked from home for about 6 years, but customers are just not interacting (obvious reasons) and that’s what I miss probably the most.

I have never understood grown men saying they’re bored. There is a world of stuff to learn and do. Have some imagination man.

Nope. This is fantastic. Done most outdoor jobs. The rain now, so more inside jobs. Been for a drive, shopping, tank topped up, and tyres set to a high pressure for standing around. Alternate day fasting, lots of hikes. Blood pressure down, resting heart rate in the mid-50s. Reading Tolstoy’s short stories. Doing lots of MOOCs (Massive Open On-line Courses).

I get what you are saying, but when you are still technically working and having to be logged on it limits what you can do. It’s not like I can just fully down tools during the work week and go and learn wood work or something

I would be thinking about how I can use this time as an opportunity to grow. What course could you do or new skill could you develop? Check https://www.futurelearn.com/ or http://udemy.com/

I don't have time to do things like DIY, chores or gardening. So many opportunities for growth and personal development.

I don't think the fact the weather here has been relatively cold and wet for three days is helping much.

Last week's sunshine lifted everyone's spirits.

Any website like udemy that sells grant cardone courses is an instant no from me.

Maybe bored is the wrong word. Dunno just feel unfulfilled I guess especially when only a few months ago I was flying high on course for a six figure year.

I kind of get what you mean. Our work continues, and technically I have worked from home for a couple of decades.....but nonetheless, the ability to socially interact is limiting. I'm even finding zoom quiz evenings with friends dull now!
& yes, at the same time, I appreciate what I am able to do. & whilst I broadly feel we are doing the right things in the UK, I get increasingly frustrated at how we look like being one of the top countries for deaths by this bloody virus....not to bring this topic into that as a focus.
Oh well. Another couple of zooms and the day is done!

I could literally spend all day on you tube.

You can go to the top of Mount Everest, Land at Manchester Airport, learn how to put washer on a tap, laugh at all the fail videos, explore the remains of the Bismarck, watch Jay Leno's garage stuff in fact I've just spent two hours going from Manchester Piccadilly to Hull pretending I'm a train driver....

That's one of the sites I listed...

So you had a career developing nicely. That's only one aspect of your life. Plenty of other areas that can continually grow.

Still have the career just slowed down.

Maybe sound like a white privileged male but I like who I am and don’t feel the need to grow. Just feel this whole personal growth has been amped up by the life coaching community.

Felt quite isolated today. Went for a drive in the rain which was better than nothing. Small things like places being shut's difficult.
