Modding a pram (Silver Cross)

I've hunted around the web and for the life of me cannot seem to find anyone brave enough to have a crack at modding a pram for the almost inevitable arrival of the second born...
We've got little one, she's 16 months and all being safe and well, should be around 22 months by the time next one comes along.
We spent a lot of money on a silver cross Chelsea (wayfarer) pram which has pretty much everything we want from 0 - 24 months (ish).
I don't particular want to go out and splash out on a pram for the toddler when I'm hoping by the time she's into the twos she'll be walking most places and the pram becomes respite/rest/a place to strap her in when she's more than a handful.
I'm giving serious consideration to taking our existing pram and making a few modifications to effectively make one of these

Has anyone ever been brave enough to have a go at this?
If not, I'll maybe track what I do and see how much damage I cause in the process!
