The denim jacket and denim trousers, huge long face, curly hair white man's afro kind of style, combined with huge white trainers and a orphaned suit jacket with rolled-up sleeves?

In the old days, people looked like that. Some had that off-white fake curly lamb collar on their denim jacket. Cowboy boots, or clogs, depending on season. Preferred car makes were Opel or Ford.

Where have they gone?

fashion changes dude, that's why no-one wears detachable collars or panama hats no more.*

jeez, newbies eh, where do they get 'em ?

  • at one time people employed washing and starching men's collars numbered, well quite a lot.
They went on strike one time pre ww1 and caused quite a lot of men to tut audibly.

To die in an old people's home , or if you really want to see them they'll be at your nieces - nephews wedding dancing badly after to much to drink , they'll be wearing a huge lapelled doubled breasted suit jacket over faded baggy jeans .
Or try germany , you'll find them there , including half cast jeans , white socks and bad trainers or black loafers , also seen in rural France on a regular basis , unfortunately half of them will be English.

What about socks with sandals? That is still seen these days.
White socks? A mate wears them to wind people up.
Below the knee shorts with flip flops, in winter.
Should that be in the Council topic?
Thinking back over the years I smile at my pandering to fashion. Flares, platform shoes, tie-dye t-shirts to name a few.

I have a Panama hat. Only worn at hot cricket matches as it is light, keeps the sun off and doesn't make me look like a chav... but instead a relic...

A practical piece of headgear, as Basil Fawlty said to Sybil, " it's called style dear, you wouldn't understand ".

I have a proper Bavarian Fedora. Complete with rope trim. Probably makes me look like a right two-hat, but I love it.

OP, I don't know. What happened to the men who used to wear tie dyed flared trousers with platform shoes or boots, long hair with a headband and a luxuriant moustache?

You pillock.

I'm out of touch with fashion but don't think there's currently any styles that everyone wears anymore unlike in the 80's/90's where fashion styles were quite distinct.

Noticed for the past few years that females don't wear low cut jeans anymore, seem to wear active wear instead even when not being active.

I wear a Panama hat at times.
The sunburnt, peeling bald patch is a worse look.

I buy my clothes mainly by mail order and have never owned a hat. Never was fashionable in my youth and continued the trend

The only retro thing now is that my bloody hair is as long after it was in the seventies.

To answer the op many of these blokes will still be around, except those that are dead, many wearing different clothes now but still with the same massive long faces.

I've a full head of luscious locks and I wear a Panama. Also a fedora and several trilbies. No, I am not Honest John.
