FT which subscription

I would like to make myself a gift and subscribe to the FT. After much deliberation I shortlisted the FT weekend paper (including How To Spend It) PRINT version, no digital, no daily.
During work week I dont have the time to read the FT daily entirely. I really like the weekend edition. i dont have an Ipad so the digital version doesnt make much sense for me.

Any thoughts?

Enrol in your local library ( hard now, but can still do it on-line I think).
You can then access loads of newspapers and magazines via presssreader
You might need help to do it - but think they have someone online chat/FB to help.

If you google 'weekend Financial Times subscription' then there are various ways that you can subscribe/get it for free.
Presumably there will be a phone number so you can get someone in subscription services to post you the print version, if there isn't an online way to order it.
Alternatively go to your local independent newsagent and ask them to order you a copy.

Well, yes, that is clear. I just wanted to hear from members who might have done the same. But sorry for asking. Maybe this is some kind of reverse snobbery, maybe I should have inquired and enquired about the Evening's Standard with a "Readers Wife" weekend supplement instead.

If it's what you feel works best for you then go for it. Some folk feel compelled to consume news via electronic means but the format means you can't easily scan for items of interest like if you have an actual newspaper in front of you. Broadsheets are the best for that. Tabloid format is slightly more restrictive. Contrast that to an iPad screen and the small size of it means that some expert will decide you need to have your content filtered to "give you the articles you're interested in".....
