Anyone use Ebay delivery?

I have tried it for the first time and something weird is going on.

It was ridiculously cheap (£4.09 signed for) and meant to be collected today, but it hasn't been. However it is now showing as in transit.

Is there something fundamental that I have missed here?

I have used it, no problems so far.

I did have a printer issue once, and when the local collection agent came round I had not printed the label, so I asked him to come the day after. When I checked the tracking later it said the same as yours "Delivery attempt made - Allow 24 hours." Did you miss the courier?

Yeah it's half price at the moment - crazy as I'm having UPS pick up fairly heavy stuff direct from my house for £4!!

It's getting weirder. Now I've had an email saying that Hermes has delivered an Ebay item to me today. But they most definitely have not.

I used eBay delivery before and after they changed to 'Packlink EU who are based in Spain. Packlink are some sort of intermediary between eBay and the likes of Hermes who actually deliver the goods. I sent four different packages to four separate addresses and they lost two of them. If you haven't paid them insurance to not lose your stuff then you'll get a maximum of £25 returned, regardless of the value they've lost. That's after weeks of trying to obtain the form for compensation. Hermes try to blame Packlink and vice versa. There's plenty of very bad feedback pretty much everywhere you look regarding this company that eBay are currently using and I'd rather book direct with the courier than save a few pounds using their service again as I'm over a hundred pounds out of pocket using their service.

How would one stand with making a money claim?

You've a receipt for collection, they didn't deliver, ergo they lost it.
