Have you tried adding it to the basket? I'm watching a bike helmet at £129 on Amazon UK, €170 odd Amazon Germany, but when you deliver to the "other" location, the base price goes up to match the corresponding currency

Where's the scandal? Beer in Asda is cheaper than beer in the corner shop. You pays your money and all that.

VAT and import duty probably cover the difference in price.

isnt the average person's assumption that amazon is amazon and the price would be the same regardless.

i bought mine from the german store because i knew it would be cheaper

Here's a thought....

The UK version has a smaller market size due to our 3-pin plugs, therefore there's a higher fixed cost (in terms of an extra/different stage in the assembly line).

The german version has a much larger potential market size due to EU harmonisation rules and therefore the fixed cost element can be amortised over more units.

I wouldn't even assume that there would be one price for single a product on the Amazon UK site, let alone a single price across the world.

I wouldn't make that assumption. I am sure the masses that are not the well heeled free market capitalist that are the PH massive, do actually exist outside the insular world we call PH and are more than capable of searching for and finding the best deals.
