Anyone else not bothered about lockdown release?

I am utterly ambivalent about the upcoming release. I don't care about shops or pubs or restaurants or any of it any more.

Not missed people at all apart from a few mates and I certainly have not missed all the crowds of people and doing things that involve crowded places.

I never realised how easy it is to just not do any of the optional stuff.

Fully intend to try and remain as far away from other people as possible for the foreseeable future.

It's not really even about health or being careful now, I just can't be arsed to re-engage.

Anyone else feeling like this?

I'm looking forward to seeing some friends and family.

I've missed some good restaurants but certainly not pubs or many shops.

I miss the pub and travel though and can't wait for those things to return.

I have rather enjoyed lockdown. No commute. Family around me. Pubs not my thing. Restaurants are a pain when you live rurally, as one of you can't drink - I'd rather stay home, eat home cooked food and drink my own, better wine at a fraction of the price.

I miss eating out, even if it’s just going out for breakfast or a coffee.

I’ve been out a few runs on the bike recently with the OH on the back and really missed stopping in towns and finding a nice coffee shop. Taking a flask and sandwiches isn’t quite the same.

Other than that being recently retired my life hasn’t changed that much.

Have hardly seen anyone during lockdown, family, friends, work colleagues or any members of the public.
Living in Cornwall, it has been absolutely brilliant.
Not bothered too much with family, friends, I can take or leave, not bothered about work colleagues, and the lack of tourists has been heaven, beaches all to ourselves, villages empty, roads quite, etc.
The less interacting with the general public I need to do, the better!

Lockdown has been great, being forced to stay away from the mouth breathing, wall touching knuckle draggers that inhabit this town wasn't exactly punishment.

I think I miss the normality of freedom more than anything. Here in Germany the lockdown has been easing a few weeks ahead of the UK, and being served by waiters with masks, trying desperately to socially distance in a beer garden, or being baffled by people's total misunderstanding of how to wear a mask where they are required is turning life outside the house (in a large town/city anyway) in to a very soul-less experience.

I totally agree about the normality thing. Little things that you have to do and experience all add up to make you realise that something crucial is missing from life.

If you’re having issues with people not knowing how to wear a mask in Germany then I fear there is no hope in the UK.

I have two young kids. I have to get out and about for my sanity. I want to be able to do things, but I can't be bothered to fight the crowds, traffic, parking issues etc. You can't do anything nice on a lovely sunny day anymore because there isn't anywhere desirable you can go which won't be mobbed.
