BP garage / Marks and Spencer

Local hardware store, otherwise known as Aladdin’s Cave biggrin

Wore a mask for both, although a few in the garage weren’t

Wearing a mask will not change my shopping habits at all. It’s not a great hardship.

Why did you wear the mask around your throat?

Did a supermarket shop on Thursday, so none so far, no need to. It'll definitely be on a 'need' basis rather than a 'want' basis from here on in though - for anything I 'want' there's online shopping.

Local (small) Coop and that was a trial wearing a mask.

Will be reluctant to do a supermarket shop while this is ongoing and forget about any non-food shopping in stores.

Went in two supermarkets yesterday, I wore a mask, as did everyone else there. Both shops were as busy as normal. I really don't understand what all the fuss is!

ATS tyres yesterday morning one other customer in there wearing a mask.

Local sandwich shop to ATS tyres, queue of customers no one wearing a mask

Local store where I drop parcels for courier collection. 6 customers in there and no masks.

Screwfix- member of staff outside enforcing masks

Asda this morning. Everyone wearing a mask.

I wore a mask in all of them for what its worth but there is a lot of variation from what I've seen so far.

Sainsbury's, Aldi and Tesco and wore a mask like everyone else has been up here for a couple of weeks.

Caffè Nero for sit in coffee where there is no requirement to wear a mask.

Did the click and collect food shop yesterday. The people working for the store were not wearing masks nor were any of the other click and collect customers.

COOP twice, Shell garage twice, Debenhams, Costa Coffee, Wilkinsons, TK Maxx, B&Q garden centre, and garden centre cafe for delicious eggs benedict and cake.

Everyone wearing masks bar for the cafe and no grown toddlers moaning about being told what to do.

Why bother with the mask then?

I understand some people will never wear 1, be that a risk to themselves or others, or no risk at all is to be debated.
Some people will wear 1 as soon as they step outside their house. That may cause more issues than it solves, again to be debated.

But putting 1 on and not wearing it is pointless to any of those positions?

Personally I would prefer you to not have it on at all. I can then decide if i want to give you a wider berth, and I most likely will. Any help (even if a mask is minimal help) has to be a good thing in the current times, regardless of whether you think lockdown is/was good or bad

I’m sure you’re a lovely chap but that just makes you sound like a complete dick. What’s the point?
