Many years ago when I was working in Dubai, I asked a work colleague and his family over for dinner.

We were chatting away, and since we were relatively young, were discussing our little kids. Somehow my colleague decided to mention that the kids were great, but the collateral damage done to his wife's fajita made it quite cavernous.

His wife went bright red, my wife and I were speechless.

Over to you...

Had the exact same thing said by a friend of mine at a dinner party - he's from deep in the Welsh valleys and isn't too well up on dinner behaviour - he shut down the conversation of about 20 people when he came out with (and you have to imagine this being said in a thick Welsh accent - that was half the thing about it) "Well I don't really enjoy sex with Sue, since she had kids she's got a tt like a bucket" just as there was a lull in conversation.

That is very crude, it's "FLAWB" in the suburbs.

Haven’t these women (or their birth midwives) heard that you be stitched up immediately after birth? No complaints from me after our second child smile

That’s not something I ever thought I’d post in the internet!

First you have to understand that my wife comes from South America and though her English and accent are very good, she sometimes trips up over the use of idiom in what to her is a foreign language.

We were at a dinner party at a friend's house, seated round a table that had a Welsh dresser just behind it, that displayed a nice collection of china milk jugs. There was one of those moments when the conversation just stops, what is called the "angel passing overhead" moment. Being a very bubbly sort of person, my wife was a bit disconcerted about this, and felt obliged to say something to get the chatter going again. Into the quietness she pipes up with,

"Ooh, Jane, you've got lovely jugs!"

I did wonder where your username came from and now I know it's not what I first thought.

I'd have said that's nothing, since my Mrs had triplets she whistles like a kettle when you give her a backie on the bike.

A good friend told me that after pushing out her third sprog the nurse stitching his wife up after a little tear said " two stitches for you my dear and one more for your husband"

He said it was either that or the leg of lamb treatment....

No, I don't know of that.

Actually, it was very hard on my wife, as she had no idea why everyone was sliding under the table, speechless with laughter. It took me a long while to convince her that we were all laughing with her and not at her - especially as it wasn't true. biggrin

It all became slightly less humorous a few weeks later when our hostess drowned herself in the bath. frown

1998 in a curry house in Cockermouth (known as knob-a-gob by us blow ins living there for it being a wild drunken experience town whilst working at the local plant).

20 or so Graduate trainees getting pee'd on company money on a Thursday night of a "Management Skills / Outdoor" training course.

Turns out the next days activity is mountain biking, which was fairly in its infancy then and quite a lot of people had visions of trying to bike down cliffs when our resident "bike" (she was one of the four female GTs out our cohort of 20 and most of the single males had had experiences with her) said "mountain biking isn't that scary, just don't do it the morning after [names one of the other GTs] has taken away your 'sitting down privileges' from a long alan sex session the night before".

a) the other GT wasn't called alan, it is an alananagram of the real position mentioned
b) at least five of the male GTs went red at this point
c) I got my "ride" 13 months later and funnily enough, when I see said person these days in meetings as it is a small world, I always watch her sit down to see if she winces. She looks at me as I do.........................and scowls........
