Locating person in old photo France.

Well long story short my mother died recently and after going through old photos of family and friends we came across a photo of a young family which my parents meet on holiday.
The photo doesn't mean anything to us but I would like to reunite it with the family in the photo. Sentimental reasons etc be nice for them to have it.
Only details known;
Location is a beach in Italy (Lazio region)
Date around 1962!
Man in photo is French(we think)
Woman possibly Mexican.
So long shot I know but the world can be a small place these days so any ideas of where to start besides here?
Should I post photo here to start?
I would like the family concerned to have the actual physical photo not just internet pic.
Any help appreciated.

You would probably be better off putting it on Facebook or similar with translations in Italian, Spanish and French to get it spread about more widely, even so it is a long shot after almost sixty years.

If he was indeed French and she was Mexican then there's a very remote possibility that they may have been from Barcellonet in France, there is a very close association of Barcellonet and Mexico that goes back over a hundred years.

Presumably you've done a google image search? it might give you an accurate location....

I don't have Facebook and family members who have it only have local connections so I'm not sure how it would spread to France. I'm not clued up on Facebook.
Do you think I should post photo on here?
Are there many french dwelling members?
