Help with cause of death in Canada

I recently found out a close friend of mine passed away and I'd like to know what happened. I've googled the following details but got nowhere, maybe a PHer can help me out?

Allan Cameron Purves Hutcheon born February 1956 in Campsie, Glasgow, Scotland.

Married Margaret Ruth Abercrombie and emigrated to Toronto in the late 1990's. Passe away around 2007, maybe in Toronto, maybe Ottawa - I just don't know.
