Boring Towns in Britian

We have a thread for some of the biggest stholes in the UK and why they should be removed from the map, but what about the places that aren't necessarily stholes? The kind of towns that are just downright dull?

I went to Congleton last week. It seems to be basically a fairly short main street with a couple of nice-looking pubs, some mediocre chain shops and... not much else. Some of the old buildings look great, but I did wonder what on earth Congletonians do for culture/nightlife. It seemed boring and a little insular.

Congleton is a special kind of place. I have distant family there. They are a special breed.

I've heard tales of them drinking diluted anti-freeze to see what would happen.

Anywhere close to Stoke is always going to suffer.

Each time I think of one I consider boring, I realise I haven't actually spent any time there.

Not sure what it says about me.

I think I'll nominate Corby, Evesham, Daventry and Redruth. No idea why
