Any1 Else Gets Those Chinese Automated Calls on their Phone?

Every couple of days I get some random number calling, when picking up they often just start speaking chinese ( fairly sure it's mandarin or something like that).
Obviously it's some automated crap that hits at mass, but what are they even after?
there are tons of different scammers that will call you where you can straight up tell that it's a scam, but what is up with these chinese,are they really blasting at mass and hope that they hit people who actually speak chinese in UK?
Obviously have no idea what they are even saying or how their scam/operations works.
Anyone else get these and know what are they up to?

Yes, I eventually called my mobile provider and switched my voicemail feature off, otherwise I was constantly having to pay to access my voicemail and delete these things.
The most common version when translated tells you that you have an important package waiting at the Chinese embassy and that you need to pay a fee to release it.
I only started receiving these when my mobile number was passed to another Chinese person for work purposes (I don't have any other Chinese contacts despite being one myself). Now I know that apps like weChat help themselves to the contacts in your mobile phonebook so I suspect it's been harvested and sold on this way.
