Xmas decorations

A neighbour has all their Xmas decorations up. Apparently they went at the weekend.

Feels way way too early. Are they one of many or lone lunatics?

I never put them up, cancelled Christmas a few years back along with birthdays and other "days".

Yep, Christmas begins on 1st December. That’s why there are hundreds of varieties of advent calendars all in agreement. Anyone saying otherwise ought to be shot. /festive spirit

Lol....my Mrs hates the fact that I refer to most events/celebrations as 'Hallmark days"

I put some outside lights up last weekend - mainly because it was a nice day and i hate doing it in the rain.

The inflatables and internal decs are still boxed up!

I've lost count of how many houses I've seen with full decorations up. Too early for me, but I'm sure they are enjoying them.

I do wonder if they'll be sick of them by Christmas!

When I was a kid we put our decorations up on Christmas Eve. This was very much the norm.

I don't know at what point over the last 100 years things have slipped a bit!

Our outside decorations are up , have to be before the snow flies or they don't go up at all . Merry Christmas

Ours will be up the weekend before the 1st since it’s midweek.

A good friend is putting hers up tomorrow but they are celebrating Christmas in the 5th as her husband goes away on the 6th and isn’t back till February - works somewhere in the Pacific rather than prison lol

I can totally understand people going for them early this year after how st it’s been.

Some silly bint I follow on Instagram had hers up on the 1st November, most likely for the likes, the day before she was posting a photo of her baby inside a pumkin

I deliver xmas trees to offices as part of my job.

~50% of clients want them delivered on 1 Dec but no later. As we have three weeks' worth of deliveries (in a normal year) that means lots of people have them in the last week in November.

People then moan we are delivering them too early.
