I have spotted this trend getting worse over the past few years. Infuriates me.

Also see any pack of Multipack crisps, I think you are lucky to get 6 individual Monster Munch crisps in a bag now.

That’s to allow for the care and precision of delivery.

I call this the Fox’s biscuits effect. I no longer buy them because of the comedy lack of product versus plastic packaging, most of which you can’t tell without opening, or reading the small print that says ‘Contains 3 biscuits’....

Family Circle contains at least 4 of each biscuit - if you're hungry- how edible is cardboard?

We've had four different delivery vans today.
The concept of Amazon delivery day isn't very successful so far.

Also wondering if I should add a photo of me in my pants...

The worst case of this happened to me when I was living in New Zealand. I bought a packet of cereal bars which were more expensive than the others, but claimed to be made from all natural ingredients and a bit more 'upmarket', so perhaps worth the cost.

I should have read the little hint on the box. When I got home I was not amused.

This enraged me sufficiently to email a complaint to them, and a woman called me back and tried to convince me that they in fact weren't trying to con the public into believing the product was twice the size (ie.the same size as a normal cereal bar). They sent me another box for free, so at least I finally ended up with what I thought I'd paid for.

It's called shrinkflation. Basically because price is the main thing people care about, not bothering to look at the weight of goods.

Wasteful packaging, I had a pair of shoe laces delivered in a box about 250mm x 150mm.
