Anyone Know about Old Stamps?

Does anyone know anything about stamp collecting?

I've inherited a book of old stamps from around the world. I'd guess it was compiled back in the late 1940s, certainly no later than the 1950s. I'm not expecting it to be worth much at all, but just wanting to check!

You could try taking them to a good local auction house, as they normally do free valuations.

I only have a limited knowledge but I would say that British stamps are going to be the most interesting to collectors followed by British Commonwealth stamps.

My grandfather collected British stamps from the 1880s, the amount he thought they were worth ws 10X what they fetched when sold.

Plenty of sharks in the stamp trading business.

If you want to start with a pic of a page of British Victorian stamps I will see if we still have some reference books.
