EU Passport Application Company
Discussion
It should just be a matter of registering the kids at the consulate but as mentioned not all countries allow dual nationality.
Find the UK consular website of whichever country it is and all details will be on there and it should be fairly straightforward. The companies who do it are really more for people who don't have much of a connection any more, claiming citizenship through a long dead grandparent and that sort of thing.

As others say, just apply direct. I had a parent, from a member state, so I'm a dual nationality citizen & made sure I picked up an EU passport this year. In our case, the rights extend to grand children but we have to naturalise the child first.
Unfortunately, everyone in the same position is having the same idea & the quoted times to process applications are in the twelve to eighteen months range which may bear on your friends considerations.

Slightly different scenario but one of my 2nd cousins in Australia. Shes never been to the UK. Her Dad, Uncle, Grandma and Grandad were all UK born but moved to Australia in 70's.
She asked me if I thought she would be able to get UK citizenship, few weeks later we did the application online, my sister got my cousins Dads, Grandads and Grandmas birth certificates from the UK council where they were born and we sent it all off.
5 weeks later a Blue UK passport arrived in Australia, turns out she didn't need to apply for citizenship she automatically had it so they sent her a passport instead. Her kids however are not entitled to it.

might be a special case with Eire. Both my parents were born in Ireland. I got hold of the birth /marriage certificates of all involved. this was about 5 years ago. end result is both me and my daughter now have Irish passports. (we were both born in UK)
Certainly for Eire the current rules for rights to citizenship & therefore a passport extend to grandchildren of an Irish citizen but the grandchild has to be formally naturalised.Spitwad said:

Hi guys
Does anyone have any experience with companies specialising in EU passport applications?
My friend who is not a pistonhead hence q here has Eu parents living in UK with Brit kids. Plan is exploring weather kids can apply for dual nationality.

My wife went through the process. Didn't need a third party company to do it. Lots of info online on qualification etc. Received citizenship pretty seamlessly and is now just waiting for her passport to arrive as her UK passport, despite being valid falls outside the new EU/UK rules (10 yr + trap!).Does anyone have any experience with companies specialising in EU passport applications?

I would think that if the parents are EU nationals it will be very easy to do and highly recommended.

May I ask how long the citizenship took? We're waiting for ours to process with Eire for one of our kids.I would think that if the parents are EU nationals it will be very easy to do and highly recommended.

It took about 9 months because so many were applying at the time. No idea what it is like today although she has just applied for her passport (very jealous) and they are quoting 9 weeks. All the best with the application. We may even end up moving there (County Kerry) depending on how things go....
