Which ice grips for slippy footpaths?

I have some Kahtoola Microspikes which are fantastic on snow and solid ice, however, in patchy conditions that can include ice, frost and clear, dry surfaces, they're at risk of being damaged. I've seen plenty of ice grips with small studs on which look like they'd be more suitable, but does anyone here have any experience with any of these? There are plenty available online but reviews seem to be mixed and some of them look disturbingly cheap. Just want some that do the job and will last. Happy to pay for quality.

Have some Grivel Spiders (strapon spikes) but I think the Microspikes are probably better.

The Microspikes are fantastic, but they're completely unsuitable for walking on paths that are merely frosty or include dry patches, hence why I'm looking for something with smaller spikes that won't be wrecked by walking on mixed surfaces.

Yaktrax are good on ice and snow but not so great on thick frost and down right dangerous on dry areas

Shoes count for a lot. Merrells I've had in the past are lethal in the wet.

I saw the Yaktrax and thought they could be the perfect compromise, but perhaps not. These have very small studs which might work well on paths which are frosty and dry in places... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grippers-Traction-Crampon...
