That's not a lack of multi tasking ability, it's selective deafness, they are different things. wink

Well I think your mistake was that your wife was at the other end of the house and out of earshot when she gave you your task to perform. Must try harder!

If your wife isn’t paying you any attention. Just sit down in an armchair and look comfortable.

Women say they're good at multitasking, yet they can't have sex and a headache at the same time.

Men mess up one thing after another.

Women can mess a whole load of stuff up at the same time.

Thinking about it, I'm assured by my constructive criticism consultant that I can sleep and snore at the same time.

I'll mention that should the subject ever come up again.

Humans multitask like a single thread processor - time slicing and context switching.

I can’t cook.

Well I can cook to a certain extent but I can only concentrate on one item at a time. I can’t dip between pans cooking several things at once.

Even if I’m making beans on toast (Gordon Ramsey eat your heart out) I have to have the toast in the toaster, the coffee and sugar in the cups , the kettle on before I even attempt to heat up the beans.

How would that work in the context of my wife giving me six jobs to do where each one has to be done first?

"Here's your list of jobs."
"Before I start could we agree a time slicing and context switching schedule?"

Its a lie. I sit daily on my phone multitasking between apps all while on the toilet doing both a 1 and 2.

Please don't come in here bragging about your superhuman abilities. You've just listed three things you've caused to happen at once before doing a fourth. Are you an astronaut?

It isn't multi-tasking, it is a lack of ability to focus.

Men don't multitask as they concentrate on the task.
Women just fanny about and achieve nothing!
