OK, let's get one thing straight before I start.....I'm a bit pished...........

We've had a bit of a day, my mum is house bound and has a careline alarm.
Mum has pressed it twice today, meaning we...Christine and me have had to go to her and sort her out...bathroom stuff....no further questions...

Tonight Christine said she wanted a long hot soak in the bath, wash her hair and get rid of the day......OK...that's great, carry on.

About an hour later, I go upstairs to take her something she needs...(she texted me).....no problem...
I come out of the bathroom and notice that she has stripped the bed......it's 22.30...we haven't eaten...no worries there, we often eat late.....but the bed is stripped...it's always agro finding the right "whatever" that's needed to make the bed.

I exclaim.........Oh you arse......you've stripped the bed....I thought we were going to do that tomorrow.,...

Cue meltdown because I've called her an arse......

Kill me....

Easy. Whoever strips the bed makes sure the new stuff is ready to put on. Take her breakfast in bed tomorrow.

I'd open another bottle and fall asleep in front of the fire.

Never, ever strip a bed and leave it.

Surely even pished you can make a bed up in 5 mins?

Otherwise, we'd like to see pics of you wrestling with a duvet!! hehe

On second thoughts, have you ever tried making the bed when drunk & you’d been meaning to do it all week?

Crack on . . . does it involve a duvet cover with a weird buttoning arrangement ??

Good Luck!

It'll take more than an unmade bed, we've been together for 40 years.
It's the meltdown because I called her an arse that's the stumbling block....I honestly don't understand why.
I was hoping for some enlightenment, or for someone to say that it was "completely unacceptable"...her words... and that, in fact, I am a complete arse for calling her an arse.
She likened it to being called the "n" word....go figure....

It's been a stressful day.....it seems to happen at the weekend, mum's perfect timing is frequently reserved for the weekend.

As said above - breakfast in bed and hope for a less stressful day.

Maybe she did that because she thought you didn't help out very much earlier on, so now you're being made to do something. Or not.

I’m no expert but I suspect her having to wash your mum backside twice in a day may have led to an expectation that you would finish changing the bed or make some dinner instead of expecting her to do it?

My attention went up a level with mention of bathtub texting and 'needed something'.

It then plummeted abruptly when talk turned to the swapping of sheets.

Hope you wake to calmer waters this morning.

Bedding pisses me off, you need to groundsheet protector, groundsheet, the dickhewdnduvet cover, 6000 pillow cases including the triangular one my wife never uses

Always find it stripped just as I’m getting in (I go to bed before wife)

I’d happily use a nice sleeping back and joining it to my wife’s on birthday

I find calling pillows cushions triggers inner Satan
