Have you ever bought anything stolen?

Either knowingly or unknowingly ?
I bought a mobile phone from a shop in Chorlton, about 1991, Manchester that was nicked, big Police operation ensued, embarrassing as I bought it whilst I worked at the Police so got interviewed. Hadn't done anything wrong, it was a shop, I had a receipt and there was no indication of it being nicked, though they all were.
Bought a Technics Amplifier via the Loot free ads paper, went to see it at a house in Levenshulme which was full of some dodgy looking characters, amp was spot on and I cant say it was stolen but I had my suspicions, didn't want to cause any bother and felt a bit under pressure so just handed over my cash and took it. The amp was brilliant, I paid £100 and I think it was £500 at the time back in the 90s. Always felt a bit wrong that, it was a really nice, high end Mosfet model like this,

Well over 15 years ago in the earlier days of eBay, I won a CD changer off ebay for buttons. Duly turned up, and all the mounts were broken, as if they'd been ripped off by force. Hmm. Worked fine though and I still have it somewhere.
Also, in the mid90s, my dad used to drag me to a properly ropey Sunday market, which was always in some old warehouse. Always remeber a cooler van pulling up outside, the guy standing outside with a megaphone offering frozen goods from McDonalds. And they were! Buns, burgers, mcribs etc. All in their 'only for McDonalds use, not for sale' wording emblazoned on the plastic bags. We did have a bit of a feast that weekend on the cheap

Back in the late 90's/early 00's I would buy a lot of CD's from 2nd hand shops/markets... I imagine more than a few were "dodgy". Likewise I wouldn't be surprised if some of the car parts I've bought off ebay were stolen...
But all of these were purchased by me in good faith, and I guess you could apply that to most people who buy something 2nd hand. I've never bought anything obviously stolen (ie. dodgy guy in a pub car park sort of thing)

The phone shop that was a couple of doors along from the Royal Oak? I had a similar Loot experience in the same part of town with a TV. The power cord had been chopped off short, and the guy was well dodgy. Decided to give him my £10 and get out of there. TV was fine though.
The pubs in Liverpool early '90's when I was at university were rife with "re-allocated" goods. Usually socks and batteries and the like sold out of a sports bag but also bags of meat.
I remember one Friday afternoon sat in the pub when two dodgy looking scallies came in selling a couple of Lacoste polo shirts. At 15 quid I was interested but neither were my size as I needed a size 5. Sure enough, about 30 mins later same scallies are back with a size 5.....
