Do you enjoy seeing people angry or distressed
Discussion
A relative of the wifes, her daughter actively creates situations everywhere she goes that cause people upset, hurt, anger, etc.
False rape accusations (she learned that from her mum who has been prosecuted twice for claiming the same), webs of truly unbelievable lies and deceit, theft, fake illnesses and faked mental health problems (although undoubtedly she does have mental health issues, just not what she purports to have at certain times).
We steer clear of that “branch” of her family thankfully.

I used to work in an office where cars getting parking tickets outside in the street was an everyday occurrence. We used to see the warden ticket the cars, and then shout out to out colleagues when the driver returned so we could all watch their reaction. A big cheer would go up if a woman burst into tears, or a couple started blaming each other and arguing. Definitely a highlight of working there.

That must have been a really s
t job. There's a girl at work who is far more focused on seeing people fail than she is on seeing herself achieve. I swear if she was in a burning building with someone else, she'd rather see the only exit on fire to stop the other person getting out rather than it not being on fire and using it to get herself out. She's done a lot of things at work to other employees to revel in their angry or upset reactions. A toxic human being who is not happy in life and loves to see others suffer.
Depends on the circumstances. Everyday life, no, quite the opposite I’m very much live and let live and prefer everything to just be simple and straight forward for everyone where possible.
OTOH, probably not a good thing but I do hold grudges. I’ve taken pleasure in watching people either in pain or struggling in life after they have done the same to me or others in the past. One particularly enjoyable event was watching my d
head neighbour fall of a ladder from 2nd story height, honestly couldnt stop laughing.

That describes a serious mental illness. It is not natural for one human being to delight in the misfortune of others. In its mildest form, it's known as schadenfreude which we all experience every now and then, normally in humorous or non-serious contexts. But what you describe suggests someone with some potentially, rather serious issues that need investigating and remedying sooner rather than later.

That must have been a really s
t job.No I don’t, unless, like others have stated above, they thoroughly deserve it.
My auntie (mum’s sister) laughs almost uncontrollably at hearing that people have a broken leg or some such. Really serious stuff like cancer she appears to be concerned. She has always been like this. Her cousin’s husband had a major polyp issue in his breathing tract which took a number of operations to clear. She could hardly tell my mum about it, she was laughing that much, with tears rolling down her face…
My mum used to hang around people going through a lot of drama in their lives with the idea that she was helping them. She did it a bit too often for me and my sisters liking…

Certainly not upset pr distressed, seeing people get angry can be very amusing though as long as its not directed at anyone. I used to have a friend who liked tinkering with cars and every now and then he would completely blow his top, throwing spanners, kicking stuff etc and that was pretty funny to be honest

My old boss used to love stirring up trouble for people, been in the room with them whilst they were on the phone to someone else dropping them right in it whilst giving me a sly wink! Main reason that I left.
TX.
A sly wink? Just checking spelling TX.

TX.
In general no I don't enjoy seeing people angry or distressed. With one exception....
I delight in seeing a cyclist(s) having a bit of trouble; such as a puncture, damaged bike or some sort of (non serious) fall or accident.
A big pile up ar a major cycling event shown on TV or seeing a MAMIL getting caught in a downpour or soaked from a puddle etc are all sources of delight to me.
It all goes some way to negate the accumulated dislike for these pathetic insects
